Vermont Castings produces high-efficiency wood-burning fireplace inserts, called the WinterWarm Large and
Small Inserts which turn a regular fireplace into a heating appliance. These inserts are able to provide a large portion of your home's heating needs. The Small WinterWarm can be installed into most masonry or
factory-built fireplaces, while the Large WinterWarm is designed primarily for masonry fireplaces. The two WinterWarm Inserts incorporate
Vermont Castings clean-burning technology. With its catalytic combustion system, the smaller WinterWarm achieves an efficiency of 79%, and the larger model has an efficiency of 78.3%, providing you with more heat from
every load of wood.As handsome an addition a fireplace is, an insert can actually enhance its appearance. For instance, the Large WinterWarm includes a handsome solid brass trim around the glass. It also boasts a
decorative cast iron front that comes in Classic Black or a choice of optional Sand or Midnight Porcelain Enamel finish. The Small WinterWarm has specially designed cast iron surround panels as options to provide a
handsome finished appearance to the installation. As is standard with all Vermont Castings wood burning appliances, these inserts contain added conveniences not found in other wood-burning inserts. The first is an ash
pan, which allows you to easily and cleanly dispose of the ashes. Another feature is thermostatic heat control for steady, comfortable heat output. |
